• Mildew Eliminated in Roses
“A single application of aerobically brewed compost tea on roses correlated with absence of mildew and blackspot for a whole year. Three application of undiluted tea, every three days controlled the mildew to the point that no visible symptoms were apparent.” (Ingham 2001)

  • Fruit Orchard Application Results
“Ron Stewart of Columbia Gorge Organic Fruit Company in Hood River, OR has been using compost teas on 130 acres of organic apples for the last three years. Four to six applications per season have led to firmer apples with more color and less decay after long-term storage. Problems with premature dropping were also reduced.” (IPM Practitioner, September 2001)

  • Tomatoes and Seedlings Respond to Tea
“Joel Reiten of Territorial Seed Company in Cottage Grove, OR successfully used compost teas to increase soil biological levels. Compost tea applications suppressed downy mildew in the crop seedlings. Tomato plants showed better growth habit, continuous blossom set, and protection from blight.” (Ingham 2001)

  • Golf Course Applications Improve Turf
“Compost tea can help new sod applications establish root systems. Compost teas can also fight turf pathogens. Charlie Clarke, golf course superintendent of Woodbury Country Club of Woodbury, NJ saw decreases of dollar spot, Sclerotinia sp., and summer patch, Magnaporthe sp., with compost tea application. Turf was healthy and required less synthetic fertilizer.” (Ingham 2001)
